The first deployment of ReStreet under the name StreetPlan, for the Vision SLO street visioning process in San Luis Obispo. California. The project that eventually adopted as the Downtown Concept Plan. According to the City’s website, the plan was designed to,
“assess and update the present development, vision, goals and concepts related to downtown, in order to provide a road map for future public projects and guidance for private development in the downtown and surrounding areas.”
Close to 400 people participated and the aggregate street metrics were provided to the consulting team. The final street prototypes in plan closely mirrored what the public “crowdsourced” as a part of the ReStreet process. A video documenting one of the outreach activities is provided below.
